KRISTEN (PETERSON) KAUP

"Hello everyone and hope you all have a Merry Christmas!"

My name is Kristen Kaup.

My husband Chad Kaup and I were married in 2008. We live in Stronghurst near the West Central Middle School with our four children- Cora age 12, Cyrus age 10, Ruby age 6, and Vincent age 1 month.

I was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey where my parents, Pat and Janet Peterson of Stronghurst, were stationed. They both served in the U.S. Air Force and met in California.

My grandparents are Carol Zimdars and the late Kenneth Zindars of Stronghurst, and the late Gear and Lorraine Peterson of Stronghurst.

I am a member of the Stronghurst Christian Church.

I attended schools in Henderson County graduating from West Central High School in 2006.

I enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Southeastern Community College and obtained my degree in 2007.

I worked at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab from 2002 until 2013 beginning as a bedmaker, then was a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and ended my career at Oak Lane as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) where my job was to ensure the nursing department provides consistent, attentive, efficient care to patients. I was responsible for monitoring the nursing staff and activities, and ensure patient comfort and care as well as ensuring nursing activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Then for two years I worked at Eagleview Community Health Systems in Oquawka from 2013 until 2015.

Of course, our family kept growing so now, with our busy family and newborn son, I enjoy staying at home with my babies and I work, baking yummy treats out of my home for sale! Check out my KK's Sweet Treats Facebook baking page: www.facebook.com/kkssweettreats1 and message me. I've been busy with lots of frosted sugar cookies for business open houses.

I enjoy crafts, spending time with family and friends and trying out new recipes.
