The La Harpe Country Christmas Open House & Parade is Dec 7th

Music will be in the air next Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. in La Harpe, along with a lot of laughter and familiar faces, gathering to celebrate the season and enjoy a good old fashioned Country Christmas. La Harpe businesses invite you to enjoy the festivities with them for Customer Appreciation and some merriment. Several businesses are taking part by opening for the event and serving refreshments and some offering door prizes from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.. They include: Banks and Beals Funeral Home, Fortress Bank, Hometown Insurance, Huston Accounting & Finance, La Harpe Historical & Genealogy Society (Museum), La Harpe Library, Memorial Medical Clinic, R&M Market, Ramsey Financial Services Inc., The Hancock County Quill Office and there may be others open too. But for sure, you will want to be downtown La Harpe for the Country Christmas Lighted Parade at 7:00 p.m. when businesses will close to take part in or view the parade and excitement. Come early so you won't miss a thing. There will be Horse Drawn Carriage Rides with its depot on the East side of the City Park sponsored by the La Harpe Park District.

There is a Holiday Craft Show & Vendor Blender from 5-7 pm at the U2 (Union Church Center) 201 N. 1st Street (former Methodist church). Also, the 20th FESTIVAL OF TREES & SWEET SHOPPE will also be at the U2 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. and a meal to be served by the La Harpe 4 Leaf Clovers 4-H Club from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Annex will also be open for food at 710 East Main Street by Marvin and Christal Miller.
