Season's greetings!
My husband Caleb and I reside in rural Stronghurst on his family farm. You can consider us "newlyweds" as we celebrated our one year anniversary this past August.
Since getting married, we have settled into our second home, invited two pups, Molly and Jo, into our family, and became part of a church - Harmony Bible.
I am the daughter of Robert and Julie Franck born and raised in Cambridge, Illinois.
I attended Black Hawk College, where I met Caleb, before completing my Elementary Education degree from Western Illinois University in December of 2020.
During my recent college years, I spent an equal amount of time studying horses as I did my textbooks. I traveled with my Black Hawk horse judging team from Ohio to Texas successfully competing for and claiming world show titles.
I also enjoyed volunteering in classrooms and tutoring children and college students to prepare me for my career.
I began my teaching career this past January in Burlington, Iowa. I taught all first graders in the Burlington Community School District who were enrolled in the virtual program. During that time, I accepted a first grade teaching position for Grimes Elementary which is where I now teach.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking, going on walks, and have recently begun practicing piano.
Caleb is a crop and cattle farmer, and I thoroughly enjoy helping out where I can. Together, we like to garden, build things (like a stock tank swimming pool), and cook.
Yes, Caleb is a great chef! Once in a while, I can even get him on board with one of my Joanna Gaines inspired DIY house projects.
We also like to play cards with friends and check cows in his Geo Tracker.
I have been quite cultured since moving out to the farm. For example, I learned that neighbors include those who live miles away and canning truly is a work of art.
Caleb and I love this life the Lord has blessed us with and look forward to hopefully many more years in this community.
