Bible Lessons Reached Many Children at Appanoose Faith, Niota

Between 50 and 60 children gathered at the Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church, 1176 E County Rd 2700, Niota, between July 20 and 24, for vacation Bible school.

The theme this year was "Rocky Railroad", where children learned that when life gets rocky, Jesus pulls us through.

They learned to express their faith and follow His signals. Their invitation to Bible School said, "Choo -Choo-Choose Appanoose Faith VBS.

VBS children also collected food items for the FOOD FOR THOUGHT HANCOCK COUNTY – a weekend food program that serves children in the La Harpe, Carthage, Hamilton, Nauvoo, and Warsaw School Districts. Food packs are handed out throughout the school year to students who may otherwise go hungry over the weekend. Students sign up through their schools. It's a non profit organization with donations tax deductible.
