Hancock County Sheriff Travis Duffy (left) and Deputy Wes Woolson, in conjunction with the Hamilton Police Department and the Hancock County Highway Department, have completed a safety project on the Connable Road off of Hwy 136 near Hamilton with the installation of a radar sign. The radar signage will monitor speeds along with registering how much usage is incurred on the Connable Road.

The state of the art signage will remind drivers to slow down, and raise awareness about the safety concerns along the way.

With school starting this week, and new drivers making their way to school, there is a great concern for the safety of our Hancock County youth.

Law enforcement will also be present in the coming months.

The new project was instigated through Elgin Berry, Hancock County Highway Engineer, and the Hancock County Highway Committee.

Please be mindful of your speed and all that is going on around you when you are driving, and do not text and drive. Your safety and the safety of others depends upon it.
