Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher
La Harpe: Dr. Steve Rodeffer expressed his surprise Friday evening at the recognition given to him after his retirement Thursday-his last day of dental practice. He thought he and the family were gathering at the park to have a family picture taken by the Quill publisher, which was true, but had no idea that the city had planned to honor him in a min-roast and presentation of a plaque for his 40 years of service to the La Harpe community.
Steve said, "You Got Me!"and then gave his appreciation to the community and to his family for supporting him through his 40 years. (See: page 8)
On behalf of the City and the La Harpe Council Mayor Kat Hasten-Reed and Brian Covert presented Dr. Steve Rodeffer a plaque for his 40 years of service to La Harpe. Councilman Dave Clover and pastors from the Union Church and Christian Church each gave a tribute as to the kind and ethical dentist Dr. Rodeffer was as he gave them the best of dental care.
