COUNTRY Financial provides multi-line insurance products, property, auto, life, health, farm, crop and flood as well as financial planning services and products through our Country Trust Bank.
The current building where COUNTRY Financial resides was built in 1969 by the Henderson County Farm Bureau and later purchased by the Stronghurst Community Corporation.
The original agents in the building were Maurice Green and Chuck Shinkle. The building was also a claims office until approximately 1990.
Current owners of the business are Mark Colclasure and Sally Waddell. Mark started with the company in 1994 and Sally became an agent in 2003.
Previous owners/agents were Maurice Green, Chuck Shinkle, Mike Stenger, Tom Spreitler, Jim Spiker and Shiryl Arends.
COUNTRY Financial is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. If you can not make it during those times, Saturday and evening appointments are available.
Besides the two agents, Candie McDonald is employed as the office manager. Candie has been in this office since 1995. She is licensed in property-casualty products and is an overall "jack of all trades". COUNTRY Financial could not operate without her.
Owner/agent Colclasure and his wife Joni live in Roseville. They have 3 children: Alexandria Fritz, Kansas City, MO; Emily Penn, Monmouth; Joe Colclasure, Kansas City, MO. They also have 7 grandchildren.
Owner/agent Waddell and her husband Monty live in rural Stronghurst. They have two daughters Kerri Hart of Columbus, OH and Kimberly Waddell of Philadelphia, PA. They also have 2 granddaughters.
Mark and Sally enjoy helping the good people of this area with their insurance and risk management needs.
Earlier this summer, COUNTRY Financial had the excitement of "Bruno" the black bear crossing their parking lot. They had no idea the bear was out there, but thankfully Garrett Lenz captured the moment for them.
