Witch's Rib BBQ Catering Service Caring Back To Memorial Hospital

Witch's Rib BBQ, a catering service based in La Harpe, is taking action to express their appreciation towards local first responders and healthcare workers.

Witch's Rib BBQ recently prepared and donated lunch for all Memorial Hospital, Memorial Medical Clinics, and Hancock Village staff.

Mike Moore, Insurance Agent with Aflac Insurance in Macomb, also contributed and donated to this charitable project.

This lunch, provided for over 200 employees, included Witch's Rib's famous barbeque pork and a variety of side dishes.

Witch's Rib BBQ Owners, Jim and Glenda Thomas, contacted Memorial Hospital Foundation's Executive Director, Greta Wetzel, to offer this gift of appreciation.

"The main point we want to emphasize is how thankful we are for local healthcare workers and first responders," says Jim Thomas. He adds, "We just really wanted to do something to say thank you and express how much we value and appreciate these individuals."

Greta Wetzel states, "We are so grateful for those who continue to support our staff and residents through Memorial Hospital Foundation's Caring Back Club. The meal from Witch's Rib BBQ truly was a gift of caring back during this trying time."

Memorial Hospital's Director of Nutrition and Wellness, Ashlyn Housewright, worked closely with Witch's Rib BBQ to coordinate this event.

Housewright states, "Food is a powerful thing. It brings a smile to our face, keeps us going, and brings us together. We sincerely appreciate the Witch's Rib BBQ for doing just that!

The outstanding meal they provided and their generosity was exactly what our team needed. We are truly grateful for their thoughtfulness."

Witch's Rib continues to give back by donating meals to additional healthcare organizations and first responders in the region, including Hancock County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
