Biggsville Village Board Sets Cleanup

On May 6th, Village of Biggsville Mayor, Brian Sterett, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Village Clean-up Day is Saturday, June 6th with the dumpster in between Craig/Cameron and the Post Office. Time will be 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The American Legion has cancelled the Memorial Day Services this year due to COVID-19.

Streets/Roads: There are streets that need patched in the east end of town and as soon as it's warm enough James will get them filled.

Midwest worked on the sewer system in the east end of town. They still have some work to do.

Parks: The flag pole at Reid Park is broken. We will replace it.

New Business:

There have been several complaints about four wheelers in Biggsville and the noise at night. State law requires any one driving a four wheeler must have a valid driver's license, and is not allowed on any State Hwy or Village road.

People have been asking about annexing property. After discussion it was deemed not feasible to pursue.

The minutes, invoices and treasurer's report were approved.

Kevin made a motion to adjourn at 8:00 p.m., Kathie 2nd, motion carried.
