Hollie Allen
Hollie was born in Bradenton, Florida and raised in Biggsville. For the past 9 years, she has resided in Stronghurst.
Hollie's parents are Rick and the late Trudy Gall from Biggsville.
She has two sisters, Heather Swisher who lives in Stronghurst and Rudi Cole who lives in Wisconsin. She has two brothers, LD Gall who lives near the Quad Cities and Chad Gall who is deceased.
Hollie is married to John Allen. They have two sons, Hunter and Riley.
She attended Union High School in Biggsville, graduating with the Class of 2003.
Since January 2018, Hollie has been the Village of Stronghurst Clerk/Treasurer. Her duties include a little bit of everything. More specifically, she prepares the water bills each month, pays bills, maintains the village's checking accounts and all bookkeeping, organizes different activities throughout town, applies for and prepares grants, takes minutes at board meetings, and basically whatever else is needed in town.
Previously, Hollie worked at Eagle View Community Health System in Oquawka.
Hollie enjoys planting flowers in her yard, reading, and watching her sons sporting events.
Her favorite holiday tradition is baking Christmas goodies with her sister Heather and niece Kaitlyn.
Hollie grew up in a close family so holidays were always a favorite time of hers because the family would always get together and fun would be had no matter what they were doing.
Hollie is also active with the Stronghurst Booster Club.
Her favorite quote is "It is what it is."
