Peyton Jack
Peyton was born at the Cottage Hospital in Galesburg to David Jack and Amanda Jack of Stronghurst. She has lived in Stronghurst her entire life.
Her grandparents are Marie Hobby and the late Gary Hobby, Nancy Caviness, and Angela Myers and the late James Jack.
Her father, David, works for Bridge City Mechanical out of Geneseo and her mother, Amanda, works at Raritan State Bank as a loan secretary.
Peyton has one brother, Spencer, who will be a senior at West Central High School this coming fall. You can usually find him working at the body shop, mowing yards around Stronghurst on Saturdays, and hanging out at the Feedlot with his friends.
Peyton graduated from West Central High School this year. While in high school she was involved in many activities, including FFA, Student Council, band FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, NHS, and Scholastic Bowl.
This fall she will be attending Illinois State University to study Family and Consumer Science Teacher Education. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she will be taking online courses and living at home.
Peyton currently works as a cashier at Fisher's Food Center in Stronghurst where she enjoys seeing the many faces of the community.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking (especially pies), reading, shopping, collecting vintage pyrex, and spending time with her family and friends.
"Monday night suppers at my grandma Angela's house are my favorite family tradition, they are the best way to start my week off on the right foot (and with a very full belly)," said Peyton.
Peyton attends the Stronghurst United Methodist Church where she enjoys socializing with her church family every Sunday and working at church dinners.
Peyton's favorite quote, and how she lives her life is: "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter" - Dr. Suess
