Meet Your Neighbor Jennifer E. (Peterson) Parrish who was born in Iowa City, IA and raised in Oquawka where she currently lives.

Her parents are John and Sandy Peterson of Oquawka. She has a daughter Jayedynn, 4, who lives with her in Oquawka and the two are co-owners of Parrish Farms.

Jennifer went to college at Iowa State University in Ames, graduating in 2008 with two Bachelors of Science Degrees, one in Dairy Science and one in Animal Science with emphasis on reproduction and nutrition.

She also worked at the Iowa State Dairy Farm in the maternity and calf barn, and with herd health working hand in hand with the veterinarian.

Jennifer is self-employed as a co-owner of Parrish Farms and has been raising and showing Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats since 2011.

She owns the 2020 AGS National Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf Buck and 2020 AGS National Best Buck in Show.

In April, they added Lamancha Dairy Goats to their farm for Jayedynn. Among this breed, they own the 2020 AGS National Grand Champion Lamancha Jr. Doe.

Parrish Farms' sells goat milk products and other all natural products. She makes and sells goats' milk lotions and soaps and all natural lip balms and natural wax melts/tarts. Since 2013, she has sold over 6000 bottles of lotion nationwide.

Jennifer has PNP Nutrition. She has worked with livestock nutrition since 2009, specializing in cattle and goats. She has her own special lines of goat feeds for all stages of life for all breeds of goats. The special lines of goat feeds are medicated or non medicated, textured or non textured and a balanced nutrition for all goats.

These feeds are available to all goat breeders and can be shipped nationwide. Jennifer is always looking for dealers all over the country to distribute her products.

From 2012 to 2014, Jennifer put on the National Goat Expo where there were all breeds of goats and shows for all the breeds and associations. She plans to start up a mini version of this in the future, but it will be mainly Dairy goat and Boer goat shows sanctioned with the respective associations. She will include informational seminars and other things as well.

Jennifer and Jayedynn enjoy going places to show their goats and meeting new people in the goat world. They also love to spend time with family and friends.

Family vacations include attending goat shows all over the midwest at fairs and other venues.

Jennifer believes that you should live life to the fullest and enjoy what you do.
