TAYLOR COMBITES
Meet your Illini West 2020 Senior Graduate Taylor Combites.
Taylor Combites is one of three valedictorians to graduate in 2020 from Illini West High School.
Taylor is the daughter of Chane and Dawn Combites, of Terre Haute. Chane is a maintenance technician at Sherear's and Dawn works as a mental health therapist at Counseling Associates.
Grandparents include Jennifer Painter of Terre Haute and Charles and Sue Combites of Blandinsville.
Taylor has 2 siblings, Grant, age 14 and Jaydyn, age 13.
During high school Taylor was involved in many activities including, Quiz Bowl, Student Council, International Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Key Club, Book Club, Math Team, Prom Committee, Class Secretary 2018-2019, Git R Done Club, Junior Chamber, and WYSE Academic Challenge.
She was also the recipient of the DAR Award.
Taylor worked as a part time receptionist at Counseling Associates for two summers and is a member of the Terre Haute United Methodist Church.
Her motto for life is "Enjoy the time you have with the ones you love."
Taylor's advice to underclassman is "Don't be afraid to branch out of your comfort zone."
Her future plans are to attend Truman to pursue a degree in psychology while participating in research projects.
