Team Hardisty Benefit is Saturday in La Harpe

Lane Hardisty, of La Harpe, was diagnosed last fall with a rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar hepato cellular carcinoma also called FHCC. This type of cancer affects ages 13 to 30.

Lane is the son of Lynn and Dawn Hardisty and a 2017 graduate of Illini West High School. Lane also has a 17 month old daughter, Aubrey Hardisty, whom he has joint custody.

Lane had a successful surgery, on December 5th, removing 75% of his liver. He is home recovering before starting several rounds of chemotherapy. The good news, as of this date, is that recent tests have shown no signs of additional cancer!

A benefit will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the La Harpe Annex from 4:30-10:00 p.m. with a free-will donation meal including pulled pork, steamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips and desserts.

The benefit meal will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. along with a silent action followed by a live auction at 6:45 p.m.

Many items have been donated for the auction and tickets will be sold throughout the night for a 50/50 drawing.

There will be a raffle drawing for a 43" Smart TV and a raffle drawing for a Mossberg Model 535, 12 gauge gun which doesn't require one to be present to win.

Bracelets, t-shirts/hoodies, window decals, and other items will also be available that evening.

A daycare room will be available, during the Team Hardisty Benefit, for $5 per child.

So, come out to The Annex in La Harpe and support Lane on his trek to leave cancer in the dust!

All proceeds will go to Lane for his medical expenses and to help him with the care of his daughter Aubrey.
