Please join the Henderson County Fair Pageant Director at a send-off party for the 2019 Henderson County Fair Queen, Abby Dowell.
A soup supper with a dessert buffet will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at the Raritan Baptist Church in Raritan.
Queen Abby will travel to Springfield on January 16th to compete for the title of the 2019 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen.
There will be over 70 young women vying for the title. The 4 day pageant allows the reigning county fair queens to compete for a chance to represent the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs advocating for agriculture across the state.
The newly crowned Queen will also serve as hostess at the 2019 Illinois and Dequoin State Fairs.
Abby is the daughter of Barry and Terri Dowell of Stronghurst.
Abby is currently attending Southeastern Community College as a Freshman pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse and plans to transfer to a University to obtain her Nurse Practitioner Degree.
Queen Abby will show off her wardrobe for the state pageant and would enjoy answering pop questions from those who attend.
