Take "The Quill" Along

Gladstone farmer and football fan Matt Roth, took "The Quill" along to "Super Bowl LIV" at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Florida 2/2/2020 where he saw Kansas City Chiefs end a fifty year drought in an exciting win 31-20 over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kansas City rallied back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win Super Bowl LIV, 31-20.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (best quarterback in the NFL named Super Bowl LIV MVP), led the offense on three-consecutive touchdown scoring drives, including the go-ahead scoring drive in which the quarterback went 5-for-5 passing, and capped it off with a five-yard touchdown throw to Damien Williams.

At 24-years-old, Mahomes (24-138) is the youngest quarterback to be named Super Bowl MVP. He is only the second signal caller to do so before turning 25, along with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (24-184) and Pittsburg Steelers veteran Ben Roethlisberger (23-340) according to ESPN statistics and information.

The Super Bowl win is the Chiefs' first title since 1970 when they won the fourth Super Bowl in the final matchup between the AFL and NFL. The full NFL merger was executed the next season. Also, Chiefs coach Andy Reid in his 20th year of coaching, collects his first Super Bowl win as a head coach.

What an historic game for Matt Roth and Chief fans and for "The Quill" to be a part of.
