Has New Owner-Iowa Native Dr. Mark Pothitakis

La Harpe- Dr. Steve Rodeffer's worries of leaving patients with local dental care has ended as he has reached an agreement to sell his 40 year old practice to Dr. Mark Pothitakis. Dr. Rodeffer will not be seeing patients after Thursday, August 27, 2020.
The dental office will be closing with the intent to reopen in the future and provide dental care in La Harpe.
Dr. Rodeffer said he has had many stresses throughout this past year of COVID-19 which he admits did influence him to move forward with his retirement.
One of his deep concerns in retirement was that he would not be leaving patients and the community without having someone to follow with good professional dental care.
"I have found my answer to this concern with Dr. Mark Pothitakis," Dr. Rodeffer said. He has been practicing dentistry since 1992 just across the Mississippi River in Southeast Iowa."
Dr. Rodeffer said he could not stress enough how very appreciative he is of all the years of support his patients have given him over his 40 years in La Harpe.
"I would like to encourage my patients and the La Harpe community to now support Dr. Pothitakis and his Associates. He will be happy to see my existing patients at any of his 6 current locations while awaiting the reopening of the La Harpe Office."
Dr. Mark Pothitakis grew up in Fort Madison, IA and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1992. He began his first dental practice in New London, Iowa and quickly expanded to include six different offices:

Dr. Steve Rodeffer retires at the end of Thursday after serving 40 years as La Harpe's dentist years.
Dr. Mark Pothitakis has agreed to purchase the business who is serving SE Iowa in 6 locations.
