Car Guys Pulled Off A Successful Cruise

Brown said, "We had 80-90 parade through La Harpe Saturday, August 1st and thank us for putting on the annual classic car show.

We were so happy to see all the town people standing in yards and along the parade route, and also the nursing home residents.

The park was staying social distancing due to the Coronavirus, but everyone enjoyed the gathering.

Ken said how much he appreciated Ken Schneider and Bryan Brown and the groups from Iowa, and the City Council and City employees who assisted him in getting everything set up and ready for the Car Guys' La Harpe Appreciation Cruise.

It sure made what would have been a hard day, a happy and rewarding day.

The annual classic car shows and reunions are just about that reminiscing about old times and fun days, looking over good cars and street machines of yesterday, and thinking about the many who are no longer here with us."

It's just a nice family event with no alcohol on grounds, good food and patriotism, and more often than not, a nice summer day.

Preparation for the 2021 August car show starts in January, so they hope to be back on schedule for next year's show which is always on the first Saturday in August.

Next year in 2021, they will try again for the 22nd Annual La Harpe Classic Car Show and Reunion. Mark your calendars. It wouldn't be a reunion if you didn't all come.

The CAR GUYS Bryan Brown of Burlington, IA and Chad Schneider of Ft. Madison, IA have attended the La Harpe Classic Car Show Reunion for many years and could not imagine not having this great event to attend. When they learned it was cancelled, they organized a La Harpe Appreciation Cruise into La Harpe to show Ken Brown, Bob Lionberger, Darrell Kraft and Jerry Burford and La Harpe how much they appreciated their 21 years of hard work putting on a great classic car show. ( "We couldn't phantom not having this great event to attend!" Chad Schneider posted on his facebook as he organized the cruise.
