WHAT'S IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS

Since we are all confined to our homes and to social distancing for another month due to the growing Coronavirus Pandemic, we thought it would be nice if readers would send us a picture by email or snail mail, of what is going on in their "neck of the woods" or neighborhood. With school being closed, La Harpe 3rd grader Gracelyn Smith was able to tag along with her dad while checking traps. Tanner had been trapping a creek that had a large beaver dam and was surprised one morning to find a 54 lb beaver.

Eleanor Link celebrated her 87th birthday on Sunday, April 5. Eleanor is a resident at La Harpe-Davier Healthcare and enjoyed having her husband, Wendell, and other family members stop by to wish her a happy birthday. Family was allowed to visit through the door during the COVID-19 'no visitor" policy at the healthcare center.

Sisters Avistyn and Elise Hobby enjoyed a walk in the country on a beautiful spring day. Avistyn and Elise are the daughters of Travis and Jennifer Hobby of La Harpe.

Since the March 14 "apartment confinement" order at Wesley Village, Clinton and Eleanor Sears have enjoyed and appreciated all the mail they have received. Their window is decorated with various drawings and hearts sent from several of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
