Suzanne Chilton, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meyer (Sara Nimrick) of rural Stronghurst took "The Quill" along to the annual Galesburg Heritage Days "Civil War era" in August. Dressing for the event was quite the production with hooped skirts, straw hats, buckles & grosgrain ribbon belts, all hand made and purchased along with lots of dress fabric sewn into beautifiul era dresses by Suzanne from period patterns. Suzanne commented how she loved remembering the details of days past (and present!). Suzanne's late husband Dan was a former Superintendent of Highways for Henderson County back in the late 70's and lived in Stronghurst. When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along, and have your picture taken with it, and send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
