Nicholas Brokaw, a member of the West Central FFA Chapter in Biggsville, was awarded the American FFA Degree at the 92nd National FFA Convention and Expo on November 2nd in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The American FFA Degree is the highest honor to receive that the National FFA Organization awards. The American FFA Degree is bestowed upon a select group of students in recognition of their years of academic and professional excellence in the FFA Organization.
Each recipient of the American FFA Degree received a gold American FFA Degree key and certificate after being recognized on stage at the national convention.
Nicholas is a sophomore at Western Illinois University majoring in Agriculture Business with minors in Precision Ag and Agronomy.
He is only the 3rd recipient of this award in the last 37 years from the Southern-Union-West Central school district.
Nicholas was accompanied to the convention by his parents, Richard and Wendy Brokaw, grandparents Russell and Maxine Stewart, and his cousin Fr. Lee Brokaw.
