Racing Season Kicksoff in Stronghurst at the Henderson County Hazzard

The Western Illinois Figure 8 Racing Points Series held their first race of the season on Saturday night, May 4 at the Henderson County Fairgrounds in Stronghurst.

One hundred and six entries competed in the eight classes. There are six point classe, the winners were:

Women- Amanda Kane, Stronghurst

Bonestock-Tyler Anderson, Stronghurst

FWD - CJ Andersin, Monmouth

RWD - Kevin Kane, Roseville

Full Size Weld- Dalton Simpson, Monmouth

Truck- Bob Avery, Stronghurst

Additional classes that do not run for points included the two-man class and the Rookie class. The rookie class is open to either male or female drivers under the age of 21. The winners of these clases where:

Rookie- Trent Bishop, Berwick

Two-man- Roger Mettler, Monmouth

Joel Simpson, Monmouth

The next race is scheduled for May 25 at 5 p.m. at 34 Raceway.
