Part 3- features the last four of the Jones kids: Joel, Jeff, Joanna, and Julie.

Joel Jones

Joel is #7 of the Jones kids and says "I survived being born after the triplets!" He graduated in 1975 from La Harpe High School. Joel currently is a building contractor and a real estate broker.

He lives in Vero Beach, FL with his wife Debbie. They were married April 2, 1983 and will be celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary this year. They are the parents of Jennifer (Jenny) Jones Binkley, age 30, who resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband, David. Joel says "grandchildren coming soon" (with a smiley face).

Joel enjoys family time, antiquing, golf, fishing, and Florida Gators football. One of Joel's favorite memories was a Christmas surprise in the corn crib:a bike.

Joel says his mom and dad were the biggest influences in his life.

JEFF JONES

Jeff is next, #8 of the siblings, and a 1978 La Harpe High School graduate.

Jeff played basketball at the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas and earned a B.S. in Mathematics.

While at college he met Shannon Upton, who was a member of the women's basketball team at the college. She is a native of Clarksville. They were married in 1982 and have been together for the past 37 years.

After they were married, they moved to Fayetteville, AR and Jeff continued his education at the University of Arkansas where he received an Agriculture Engineering Degree specializing in soil and water engineering.

Jeff says "My first job brought us to Stuttgart, Arkansas. Stuttgart is the self proclaimed "Rice and Duck Capital of the World". I worked as a sales engineer for a water well drilling contractor for 15 years before starting our own company in 2000. I am currently the owner of Jones Hydro Services, Inc. in Stuttgart, AR. We are a water well contractor specializing in the service of pumps and motors for irrigation, municipal, and industrial customers."

Jeff and Shannon reside in Hot Springs, AR. They have one son, Jett Jones. He is 32 years old and married Haley Childers. Jett is currently a pharmacy manager for Walgreens and Haley is an occupational therapist. They reside in Little Rock, AR and currently have no children, but have two dogs named Jasper and Josie.

Jeff says his favorite pastime/hobby:"When Jett was growing up I really enjoyed coaching his youth sports teams. Shannon and I enjoy going to flea markets and sales looking for "junk"."

His favorite childhood memory was Christmas mornings with 10 kids. He says he has too many childhood memories to name, but says "Loved growing up on the farm and great to be a Terre Haute Indian and a LaHarpe Eagle!"

Jeff says most influential person:his parents, Analu and Frank, for instilling the importance of education and a good work ethic.

Larry, Joanna, Jacob, and Annie

JOANNA SHOLL

Joanna, #9, graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1980. She attended Carl Sandburg College where she was a three sport athlete, playing volleyball, basketball and softball for the Chargers.

After living in Galesburg for 10 years, she returned to college to earn a teaching degree from Western Illinois University. In 1994, after graduating from Western, she stepped into her mother's teaching position at LaHarpe Jr. High, after her unexpected death. Joanna has been teaching at LaHarpe ever since.

Joanna has been married to Larry Sholl for 24 years and they reside in Carthage. They have two children, Jacob 22, and Annie, 19.

When not taking pictures or doing schoolwork, she enjoys golf, geeky technology things, and working in the yard.

One of Joanna's favorite childhood memories was sitting on the stairs waiting for Christmas morning to happen. A non-favorite childhood memory was cutting corn out of beans, and riding the bus home from school, especially when the Carpenters or Siegworths were riding the bus! (added at least 3 hours to the route)

Joanna says the most influential person in her life without doubt was her mother, Analu Jones. She is her inspiration and why she chose to become a teacher. She also has her mother's unique "talent" of being able to yodel.

Robert, Julie, Matthew, and Rich

JULIE GOLINSKI

Last, but not least, Julie is #10 of the Jones kids. Julie graduated from La Harpe High School in 1983 and from Western Illinois University in 1988 with a degree in Financz.

Julie has been married to Rich Golinski for 21 years and they reside in Pleasant Hill, California.

Julie worked as an accountant and then a money manager in Boston, Atlanta, and San Francisco. She met her husband in Atlanta working at Suntrust Bank. They moved to San Francisco, California in 1997 for his job.

They have two children: Matthew (19), a sophomore at the University of Oregon and Robert (18), a freshman at the University of California at Davis.

Before kids, Julie was a Portfolio Manager and later a Special Education Assistant. She said as her kids got older, she started working at their high school in special education. She really liked that and thought if she had to do it all over again, she would have been a teacher.

Julie's hobbies include reading, playing tennis, and she is currently trying to learn the Ukulele.

One of her favorite memories is the Homecoming parade and all the festivities surrounding the big day - especially eating cinnamon rolls at the Traveler's Inn. She also has fond memories of playing baseball in their front pasture and using cow poop as bases.
