Biggsville has busy meeting

During the Open Forum of the Village of Biggsville board meeting last Wednesday, July 10, there was some concern and discussion for the illegal activities that have been occurring in Biggsville after Mayor Brian Sterett opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance.

It was reported that the plumbing is done at Reid Park and there are still repairs that need to be done to the women's side.

The village will be working on a welcoming pack for new residents to Biggsville with important phone numbers and services.

Dick make a motion to accept the minutes, invoices, and treasurer's report with a correction of a check number. Tammy 2nd motion carried.

Old Business: The pump house at the Lagoon has a new roof. The pump house maintenance shed will be done next. The new village sign is in.

New Business: Kevin made a motion and Dick seconded it, to approve the appropriations ordinance and all approved. Brian will send a letter to the lawyer for the homes in the village who are not mowing their yards. Kathie made a motion to approve a new computer in the office up to $350.00, Nanci 2nd motion carried. Nanci made a motion, Kevin seconded it which carried and meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.

Members present were: Kathie Curtiss, Dick Goff, Kevin Mortimer, Tammy Slater and Nanci Sterett. Absent was Becky Price. Others present were: Marilyn Simmons, Treasurer; Judy Gravgaard, Clerk; James Rogers and Mike West.
