The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.

Take "The Quill" Along : around the world!

This now famous Irishman "Norm" Surplus of Larne in Northern Ireland, is holding the July 17, 2019 edition of The Henderson County Quill in front of his gyro chopter which he just finished piloting around the world to set the first world-record for a Gyro to do so. He is taking "The Quill" along on the rest of his flights to Lansing and then on to the air show in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin where he and his G-YROX will be one of the stand-out exhibits.

"Norm," 57, spent the night with Matthew Defenbaugh who farms and cropdusts, and even has a autogyro in rural Biggsville, parking the world-famous gyro next to Matt's crop duster and then visiting the night away about his nine-year adventure from 2010 to 2019.

The only thing better than meeting this amazing gentleman and hearing his stories for the "Take The Quill Along" series would be if "The Quill" had actually gone around the world with him. Then "The Quill" could be part of an amazing historical collection alongside the Wright Brothers by-plane in the Smithstonian display when it displays there and in other famous museums and exhibits.

When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along, and have your picture taken with it, and send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
