Fun Banquet Planned by Tri-County Cattlemen

Saturday, February 2nd is almost here when the Tri-County Cattlemen will be holding their Annual Banquet.

As it has been the last several years, the banquet will be held at the WIU Union Grand Ball Room and will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Trade Show and Social Hour.

It will continue at 6:00 p.m. with a delicious grilled steak dinner and entertainment. You won't be disappointed.

This year the entertainment will feature the comedian Jerry Carroll, Southern Humorist from Raleigh, North Carolina.

Jerry found comedy growing up on his family's farm, where he joined his father and uncle to farm tobacco, corn small grain, soybeans, cattle, and hogs.

While spending time in a cab, he had time to think about his life's dream of making people laugh. In just eight months, he went from an emcee to a headliner due to his ability to effortlessly spin out punch line after punch line and story after story.

He has entertained in many venues over the last 26 years from small local banquets to entertaining the Provincial Parliament at the Royal York in Toronto, Canada.

Where else are you going to find a full-time farmer and professional comedian who can deliver non-stop laughs?

Following the entertainment will be door prizes and the auction to benefit the scholarship fund.

If you don't want your evening to end, stay to enjoy the popular Felix and Fingers, Dueling Pianos.

They provide musical entertainment that you can dance to and sing along to as well. Check them out on: https://www.felixandfingers.com/

I hope we've convinced you to join the Tri-County Cattlemen for great food, fun entertainment and support a local organization. You need not know anything about cattle to attend or to have a good time and a great meal and socialize with some of the greatest people in the Midwest.

The Tri-County Cattlemen's story started many years ago when area beef producers started grilling beef for events in the Henderson, McDonough and Warren County areas.

They have joined together and 100% of the profit from the many events the cattlemen cook for goes back into our scholarship program.

Over the years of Tri-County Cattlemen's existence we have given out over 150 scholarships to high school seniors!
