Alexis Smith
Meet your Illini West senior, Alexis Smith, of Carthage.
Alexis participates in band, volleyball, basketball, softball, the International Club, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Her school highlight is meeting new friends from Dallas City and La Harpe Schools. Alexa says her advice to underclassmen is "to be involved in as much as possible and give your best effort. Leave high school feeling proud and accomplished."
Alexa states "my most influential teacher is Senora Johnson because she always reminds students that there are things to be thankful for, very down to earth."
Alexa enjoys spending time with family and traveling. Her favorite sport's team is University of Minnesota women's volleyball; favorite school subject is A&P; favorite restaurant is Alfano's; and favorite music is country and pop.
Alexa's plans after graduation is to attend John Wood Community College for nursing and later attend anesthesia school to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
