Good afternoon all! It's that time of year again, school is back in session, we'll soon be cheering at Friday night football games, wiener roasts and hayrack rides. You know what else that means? Fall Festival is just around the corner.
Yep, can't believe it's here already. Saturday, September 14th at the Stronghurst Village Park, the Stronghurst Booster Club will be hosting our 5th Fall Festival. Where has five years gone? Seems like it was just yesterday we were busy planning our first one.
We hope you can join us for all or maybe just part of the day. Vendors will be set up in the park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. While we have many returning vendors, you will see some new faces and products as well. There should be something for everyone, I mean everyone! From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we are welcoming back The Blue Room Band! They have been a big part of our festivities the past few years and we are grateful that they will be entertaining us again this year.
Inflatables and barrel train rides will help entertain the children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These will be on the west side of the park.
The Booster Club will be serving concessions at the shelter house including pulled pork sandwiches, walking tacos, hot dogs and we are excited to possibly add a couple new menu items!
The festivities will continue downtown on Broadway Street with the 2nd Annual Car Show. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., voting will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and awards will be handed out at 2 p.m.
This years awards will include: Top 20 (participant voting), Booster Club Award, Mayors Choice, Under 21 Award, Veterans Award and Spectators Choice.
We hope you take time to stop by and look at these beautiful cars. There will also be an Antique Tractor Display downtown.
Bryan will be grilling some great food at Fishers and I believe you can look for some great specials from the Feedlot as well as Rivals.
City wide yard sales will also be held on Saturday morning, see I said something for everyone!
Lest I forget The Boosters will again be selling some gorgeous mums to enhance your fall decorating. They sell out fast so get there early!
