Village Of Biggsville Board

The Village of Biggsville Board's meeting was called to order by Brian Sterett, Mayor-pro-tem at 7:00 p.m., on April 3rd, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Village Clerk swore in the new trustees: Tammy Slater, Becky Price and Nanci Sterett. Brian Sterett was sworn in as Mayor.

Members present were: Kathie Curtiss, Dick Goff, Kevin Mortimer, Becky Price, Tammy Slater, and Nanci Sterett. Others present were: Brian Sterett, Mayor; Marilyn Simmons, Treasurer; Judy Gravgaard, Clerk; James Rogers and Mike West.

There was no open forum.

Nanci Sterett made a motion to accept the March minutes, treasurer's report and invoices and Kevin Mortimer 2nd it, motion carried.

There is a tree on the east end of town that is on the village property that needs to be taken down. James and Dick will get estimates for removal. James is getting winterized patch to fill holes in the village. There was some discussion on flushing the hydrants that need to be done yearly.

Old Business: The board is still looking for suitable rugs to put at the entrance to the Community Building. They thanked Vince Whiteman for taking down the Christmas decorations, and really appreciated his time. The sidewalks in front of the Community Building will be started as soon as possible, weather permitting.

New Business: Greg Fulkerson, Test Inc., said the reading for February on the Ammonia at the lagoon was high. Greg will contact us after the next reading. A lock will be put on the gate so unauthorized usage (dumping of waste) can be prevented.

There's a work session at 6:00 p.m. at the May 1st meeting.

Nanci Sterett made a motion to accept the budget, Tammy Slater 2nd and the motion carried.

An executive session was called. Afterwards the Annual reviews were conducted for non-elected personnel.

Tammy Slater made a motion to give raises and Kevin Mortiner 2nd and the motion carried.

Dick made a motion to adjourn at 8:50, Kathie 2nd, the motion carried.
