Have you thought about what resolutions you want to make for the new year? We start out with a new slate in January. Anything is possible if we have courage and take some chances...stay focused.
A New Year's Resolution is a chance to change an undesired trait or behavior to accomplish a personal goal and improve your life, according to research.
But, I read that many Christians hold "Watch-night Services" and prepare for the new year ahead by praying and reflecting on what God would want us to do in making our resolutions.
Many today resolve to lose weight, exercise, eat healthy, quit biting nails, quit smoking, drinking or stop being so angry.
All are good improvements, but popular goals for Christians may also be to donate to the poor or a worthy cause, visit the sick and lonely, be a good neighbor, less judgmental and more uplifting, thinking of others before yourself. By doing so we not only improve ourselves, but we make the world a better place.
