Good Enough Won't Cut It!

So many times we get into a deep deep rut that takes us off the path to success and makes it hard for us to pull ourselves out of the rut and onto the road to harmony.

It happens when we are not paying close attention to the details each and every time we proceed with a task.

Whether it is taking care of our marriage, our jobs, our children, cooking a meal, checking in on our aging parents, creating good relationships with all we come in contact with as we move through life.

A few have mastered the skill of starting good routines at a young age. It helps to have diligent parents that aren't too busy to be responsible in loving and encouraging their children and their spouse.

Parents teach far more by modeling good character than by scolding. They model accountability in their work, help each other in their homes, taking care not to overload one have accountable children.

We must demonstrate forgiveness when a child, a spouse or a friend messes up. I think the worst culpit is "pride and over-confidence.

If we don't keep careful attention to everything we do and say, we will slip totally off the road to success at home, at work, and at play.

Here is something to think about that a couple of good friends shared with me ....

"GOOD ENOUGH"

ALL TOO OFTEN "GOOD ENOUGH" IS WHERE THE WEAK HEARTS" STOP.

IT KEEPS THE VERY BEST IN THEM FROM RISING TO THE TOP.

"ENOUGH" IMPLIES JUST GETTING BY, AND "GOOD" FALL SHORT OF BEST.

SO "GOOD ENOUGH"

IS AVERAGE STUFF AND SELDOM MEETS THE TEST.

BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO SETTLE THERE; YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES.

PUSH YOURSELF TO DO YOUR BEST, IT'S HOW YOU GET THE "BREAKS."

REMEMBER THAT THE CHOICE IS YOURS, AND YOU ALONE CHOOSE EITHER,

BUT THOSE WHO WIN ARE THOSE WHO KNOW THAT GOOD ENOUGH IS NEITHER.
