Proverbs Can Give Us Wisdom

I challenged my Facebook friends and challenge you and anyone who wants to join me to read the book of Proverbs.

It is only 31 chapters and can easily be accomplished in 31 days.

The introduction in my Bible edited with comments by Max Lucado says:

"Reading Proverbs turns on the lamps in the dark corners of life.

'Corners such as foolishness, wisdom, pride, humility, fear, insecurity, wealth, mercy, lust, diligence, laziness, prudence, anger, flattery, gossip, violence.

And that's just a start.

Having trouble with an enemy? Turn on the lamp of patience:

"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.' Proverbs 15:1.

Having trouble with greed? Flip the switch of prudence:

"Better is a life with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble.'

....See what I mean? Time spent with Proverbs makes a heart wise.....Psalms tells you how to get along with God, Proverbs tells you how to get along with people.

Whereas Psalms is a book for Sunday, Proverbs is a book for Monday. " -Max Lucado

Please join me in starting off January with some Godly wisdom for a better year in 2018! I know together, with God's help, we can make a difference this year.
