Fall Festival Car Show

Many participants and viewers enjoyed the 1st Annual Fall Festival Car Show on Saturday, September 15th in downtown Stronghurst.

There were nearly 50 beautiful vehicles on display up and down Broadway Street. There were a variety of trucks and cars, some from the early 1900's up to current street rods. Many were locally owned muscle cars with a few vintage antiques featured.

The organizers hoped to provide a chance for local owners to dust off their hidden treasures and give people a chance to admire these works of art.

Spectators were invited to participate in electing two awards by spending $1.00 to vote for the vehicle of their choice, and kids were allowed to make their picks for free. Awards for the show were determined by the participants, Booster Club, kids vote, spectators vote, and Mayors choice.

Vehicles began arriving before 9:00 a.m.. Judging concluded at noon, and 26 awards were presented at 2:00 p.m.. Some of the winners are:

"Young Guns" (under age 21): Craig Danner - 1993 Ford Mustang
