Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor, Courtney Rude.

Courtney was born in Macomb and lives in Terre Haute.

She is the daughter of Jim and Sandy Taylor of Macomb and Bill and Beth Scandridge of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Jim works at NTN Bower and Sandy works at McDonough District Hospital. Bill works at Arbor Court as Head of Maintenance and Beth works at FCOC book store.

Courtney's grandparents are the late Virginia Garrison and the late Bill and Hazel Taylor.

She has an older brother, Matt Taylor, and sister-in-law McKenzie Taylor. She has a younger sister, Virginia Scandridge and younger brother, Avery Scandridge. She also has two older step-sisters, Bridget Sikes and Nicole Wetterling.

Courtney graduated from New London High School in New London, Iowa. She played volleyball, basketball, golf, and softball.

Courtney works as a Para-professional at La Harpe Elementary and is the head coach for the 7th and 8th grade girl's basketball team and she is the assistant coach for volleyball and track.

Courtney was married in February, 2013 to Curt Rude. He works at the IAAAP Fire Department in Middletown, Iowa as a lieutenant and has recently joined the La Harpe Ambulance crew.

Courtney says "I enjoy doing craft projects and decorating for holidays. I also enjoy riding trails on our razor and canoeing. I love to sit on the beach!! We try to travel during the summer every year to different places we want to see."

Future plans include moving to Tennessee or Florida and travel. Her motto is "If you can't change it, don't stress over it." And her favorite sayings are "It's fine" and "It is what it is".
