The Wisdom of Barnyard Bruke: Jewish Slave Labor; Weaponization of Victimhood; Utilize'n Victimhood; Just Enigmas

Greetings ta ever one in western Illinois and all readers of "The Quill".

This is the last column ta be written for October 2018. Next week will be November already.

The recent shooting and murders in a Jewish Synagogue is a terrible story. The type of folk who hate in such a manner look at life in a one-sided view.

Jewish Slave Labor

Here is an enterest'n story from a book written by Elmer Bendiner entitled "The Fall of Fortresses:

Elmer Bendiner was a navigator in a B-17 during WWII. He tells this story of a World War II bombing run over Kassel, Germany, and the unexpected result of a direct hit on their gas tanks. "Our B-17, the Tondelayo, was barraged by flak from Nazi antiaircraft guns. That was not unusual, but on this particular occasion our gas tanks were hit."

"Later, as I reflected on the miracle of a 20 millimeter shell piercing the fuel tank without touching off an explosion, our pilot, Bohn Fawkes, told me it was not quite that simple." On the morning following the raid, Bohn had gone down to ask our crew chief for that shell as a souvenir of unbelievable luck.

The crew chief told Bohn that not just one but 11 shells had been found in the gas tanks. 11 unexploded shells where only one was sufficient to blast us out of the sky. It was as if the sea had been parted for us. A near-miracle, I thought. Even after 35 years, so awesome an event leaves me shaken, especially after I heard the rest of the story from Bohn.

He was told that the shells had been sent to the armorers to be defused. The armorers told him that Intelligence had picked them up. They could not say why at the time, but Bohn eventually sought out the answer. "Apparently when the armorers opened each of those shells, they found no explosive charge. They were as clean as a whistle and just as harmless."

Empty? Not all of them! One contained a carefully rolled piece of paper. On it was a scrawl in Czech. The Intelligence people scoured our base for a man who could read Czech. Eventually they found one to decipher the note. Translated, the note read:

"This is all we can do for your now...using Jewish slave labor is never a good idea."

Weaponization of Victimhood

There ya have it then, food fer thought in relation to the recent story of someones hatred fer folk of Jewish persuasion.

While I am writen' about that current event, here is one woman's statement written by a female physician who was wild in college:

"This is not Justice. This is Wrong...I was immersed in the party scene in college. I drank to excess. I had black out nights. I WAS GROPED AT FRAT PARTIES. If advances were unwanted I pushed the person away and set personal boundaries. I chose to be a part of the party scene. Because of this I had fun and I have regrets. I HAVE BEEN ASSAULTED AND NOT RAPED. I could replay a scenario like Christine Ford described as very similar to things that happened when excessive drinking occurred in my own experiences.

At the age of 25 I settled down and now my idea of excitement is Netflix and yoga pants. If any of my current patients saw my behavior back then, I could understand why they wouldn't want me to care for them.

I feel like being a physician is every bit as important as being a Supreme Court Justice. The decisions we make over the span of our careers could change the lives of thousands of people and their descendants for years to come. The same can be said for the Supreme Court or any other political office held. The thing is, poor choices in the past does not, and should not disqualify them. I chugged bankers club whiskey in a cornfield and went to the bathroom behind a dumpster 25 years ago.

But Friday I used tiny instruments to remove infected bony partitions from the ethmoid sinus a few millimeters away from the brain.

Should I have a right to operate on humans despite my past? You are darn right I do. You know why?

Because I spent 20 years educating myself and sacrificing countless hours to get there. I gave up so much to be good at what I do, to be confident enough in myself to put myself out there to care for people who put their lives in my hands. My hands are capable in spite of my weaknesses of the past. Character is built partially on learning from mistakes. Brett Kavanaugh has devoted his life to public service and the past 20 years of his life is the definition of integrity. He deserves this appointment.

I AM AGAINST THE WEAPONIZATION OF VICTIMHOOD. Believing unequivocally the woman is right every single time no matter what is giving women power to take out anyone in their path. That is not equality. This radical position is not the answer to gender discrimination and victims rights.

No one can even place Brett Kavanaugh and the Christine Ford IN THE SAME ROOM, at a party that zero people recollect except for the woman making the accusations.

If every single woman must be believed every single time, we all know there will be circumstances by which someone will use this power for selfish reasons. It sets women back so far. This is not breaking the glass ceiling. THIS IS NOT JUSTICE. THIS IS WRONG.

And so it goes. It seems she has made some very important points. With that in mind here are some enterest'n points on the matter.

Utilize'n Victimhood

1982, A party was held but she didn't know who she was with or how she got home. She was drinking and said nothing to anyone.

1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001,

2002, She said nothing.

July 25, 2003: President George W. Bush nominated Kavanaugh to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit...She said nothing.

2004,

2005, She said nothing.

May 11, 2006: The United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary recommended confirmation. Kavanaugh subsequently confirmed by the United States Senate...She said nothing.

June 1, 2006: Kavanaugh sworn in by Justice Anthony Kennedy...She said nothing.

2007, 2008, 2009, 2010,

2011...She said nothing.

2012...She remembered "something' happened in 1982, yet doesn't name Kavanaugh, still said nothing to authorities.

2013, 2014, 2015, 2016,

2017-She becomes an anti-trump activist.

2018-Now 36 years later, with Kavanaugh's SCOTUS confirmation looming, she pens an anonymous letter with grave accusations against Kavanaugh regarding foggy circumstance that occurred while they were both minors, then reveals herself and wants an FBI investigation before testifying to her incredible allegations?

Who does she think she is?.....and then there's this picture of her and George Soros...hmmm...Can anyone else see what's REALLY going on here?

And now ta finish this column, here are some enterest'n enigmas:

Just Enigmas

(1) Isn't it weird that in America, our flag and our culture offend so many people, but our benefits don't?

(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?

(3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled "racists" and "Nazis," but illegal aliens are called "Dreamers".

(4) Liberals say, "If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it's worth it. "However, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn't that be worth it?

(5) I can't quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country, but consider it punishment to be sent back there.

(6) The Constitution: It doesn't need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread.

(7) William F. Buckley said: "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view, and are then shocked and offended when they discover there are other points of view.

(8) Joseph Sobran said: "Need now means wanting someone else's money. "Greed means wanting to keep your own. Socialism is when a politician arranges the transfer."

(9) Florida has had 119 hurricane since 1850, but some people still insist the last one was due to climate change.

These enigmas are sure food for thought. I reckon when fall harvest is over and all the desired fertilizer is applied, the boys might find time ta dwell on these topics, beyond just sitt'n in a cab and think'n about yields and weather. Don't ya know, life is enterest'n fer a farmer.

See ya in the church of yer choice this week.

Remember, wherever ya are, whatever ya be do'n "BE A GOOD ONE!'
