An Enjoyable Oak Wood Thanksgiving

A lot of visiting and a lot of delicious homemade food was served to fifty-two Oak Wood Estates residents and guests in Stronghurst making the important Thanksgiving holiday an extra special day. Turkey, dressing, scalloped corn, green bean casserole, apple salad, potatoes and gravy, deviled eggs, and pumpkin pie with whip cream, rolls and butter had everyone coming back for more. Joyce Louden began the meal with a special prayer of thanksgiving beginning with the pilgrims and the Indians who so long ago had the first Thanksgiving together and ending with the special hands of the workers at Oak Wood Estates who prepared and served the bountiful feast.
