John and Carol Knupp, along with their daughter and son-in-law, Connie and LeDru Freyenberger, took the Quill to South Dakota to see all the tourist attractions and while there they contacted the current owners of the land that John's grandfather homesteaded in 1912. While the sod house that John's grandfather built is no longer there it was special to see the area where it had been. Pictured above are Le Dru, Carol, John and Roger Weiss, the owner who very graciously took us out to see it. Connie was the photographer.
