Chris Schwarck, of Mason City and a BRR trustee, and Raymond Defenbaugh of Biggsville, BRR CEO, took "The Quill" along to Washington D.C. both representing Big River Resources, LLC. They advised Senator Ted Cruz of Texas of the importance of ethanol to agriculture and to the rural economy. Senator Cruz (R) was re-elected after a tight race and a recount this past week. Schwarck and Defenbaugh explained that the American grown renewable fuel adds value to farmers' crops, contributes to energy independence, provides cleaner air, and improves our country's balance of trade.
