Meet Your Neighbor And New Assistant Library Director
Leah Shores, of La Harpe, was recently hired as the Assistant Library Director at the La Harpe Carnegie Public Library.
Leah was born in Peck, Michigan and moved to La Harpe when she was 10.
She is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Shores and the granddaughter of Patricia Shores all of La Harpe.
She has two siblings, Ashley Hunter and Brandon Hunter and a nephew, Carson.
Leah graduated from Illini West High School in 2015. She participated in the Writing Club her junior year.
Leah has previously worked at Jenni's Ice Cream and Grill in Lomax and Menard's in Burlington.
Leah's hobbies include reading, drawing, baking and shopping. She would love to travel more. She enjoys family vacations to visit family in Michigan.
Some fun facts about Leah are she took an on-line criminology class and that her family thinks she should be a comedian.
Leah looks forward to the Library's Summer Reading Program along with games and activities for the kids.
