Becky Crabill, formerly of La Harpe, took the Quill along on a visit to Mattoon, recently to watch her great nephew, Jake Stewart, play baseball in the Babe Ruth 12U State All Star Tournament.
The Mattoon All Stars won the tourney going undefeated with Jake playing 1st base and pitching.
He was also chosen for the all tournament team. Mattoon advanced to the regional tournament which they will be hosting the weekend of July 20.
Becky was able to visit with her nephew, Shannon Stewart, along with family Tera, Rylan and Jake who treated all to a scrumptious barbecued rib lunch. When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along, and have your picture taken with it, and send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
