Ty Huston, a 2004 La Harpe High School graduate, has accepted an internship position with Wood Tax & Accounting for the spring semester.
Ty is enrolled at Western Illinois University pursuing a Bachelor of Business degree in Finance with an Accounting minor.
He is utilizing Western's integrated degree program and plans to earn his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
He will work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday assisting with various tax and accounting duties.
Ty served in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Analyst for almost 10 years with 2 combat tours, Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2011.
He transitioned from active duty in November of 2016 and is currently serving in the Army National Guard as an Intelligence Analyst with HHT 2-106 Cavalry Squadron based in Kewanee.
Ty and his family reside in Table Grove. He and his wife, Rachel, have 5 children. Nic age 11, Ava age 8, Ellie age 6, Gabe age 3, and Isabelle 2 months old.
They are all very excited to be back home in Illinois and have been enjoying time with their families.
