The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Sunday evening, January 28th, the youth of Rozetta Baptist will be hosting a square dance at the church.
The group will be serving a pulled pork dinner at 5:00 p.m. for a free will donation then the dancing will start at 6. Throughout the evening there is a dessert auction and cake walk.
Proceeds from the night will be donated to William Wood Missions To Russia, a Christian mission organization with headquarters in small Komi village of Don. Komi is one of the northern-most districts of Russia. The ministry is currently led by Pastors Andre Kudinvo and Simeon Gutyar who diligently work to help the Russian people with all their material needs while presenting the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are thrilled to say that 100% of donations go directly to the mission field. Any contribution you make to the ministry truly goes to Russia, supporting Pastors Andre and Simeon, their families, and the Don church.
William lived a life of hopelessness, drunkenness, greed, self-hatred, total dependence on narcotics, and suicidal tendencies prior to following Jesus.
"Having totaled two cars because of alcohol and drugs, I knew it was only a matter of time until I killed someone, maybe even a little child," says William.
That fear helped send William to his knees to accept Christ as his Savior in 1991.
From 1992-1997 William participated with Josh McDowell Ministries on nine two -week mission trips to Russia.
He has also worked with Russian missions with Dr. Bill Becknell of Agape Medical Center, Manchester, KY for four years.
William returned to Russia January 1, 2003. He initially set up his main base in the settlement of Don in the Komi Republic. The Lord used him and his ministry partners, Andre and Simeon, to plant a church there.
After his last trip home over a year ago to report to the churches, William returned to start yet another church, but suffered from meningitis and was in a coma, but is now confined in an apartment with a private nurse supported and cared for by the Russian government.
Andre and Simeon continue in William's legacy of service and sharing the Gospel with the precious people in Don and the surrounding villages, both near and far.
God is multiplying your generous giving to support these exciting ministries and to grow God's Kingdom in the Komi Republic.
