Biggsville Water Bills To Have Extra Charge

At the Village of Biggsville regular meeting on January 3rd, the board determined in the months of June and December there will be a $5.00 charge on the water bill to go towards the recycling and city-wide clean up invoices.

The village board will also be putting an ordinance on each water bill each month.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor pro tem Brian Sterett at 7:00 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance.

There was no discussion in open session.

Nanci Sterett made a motion to accept the minutes, bills, and treasurer’s repots with corrections to minutes. Kathie Curtiss seconded and the motion carried.

Jimmy Rogers would like to put Mike West on the Menards and Farm King accounts. Kathy made a motion to add Mike West to Menards and Farm King accounts, Kevin seconded, the motion carried. Jimmy stated that Mike did an excellent job cleaning up at the lagoon.

The village sign will be put up in the spring.

It was decided to leave a shovel in the front of the building to scoop sidewalks.

Nanci made a motion to adjourn at 8:32 p.m. and Kathie seconded, motion carried.

Members present were: Kathie Curtiss, Richard Goff, Kevin Mortimer, Brian Sterett and Nanci Sterett.

Diane Gonzalez was absent.

Others present were: Marilyn Simmons, Treasurer; Judy Gravgaard, Clerk; and James Rogers.
