Joey Gambrell
Joey Gambrell, a senior at Illini West, is one of the many track stars this season.
Joey felt as though this year provided a good season, his running in itself was the highlight of his athletic career, and he advises underclassmen to "never quit."
Joey enjoys eating at "Five Guys" for burgers and fries found in the Peoria, Champaign, and Chicago and St Louis area in Illinois, but says he also loves chinese food.
His favorite movie is Batman Begins.
Joey likes the "classic rock" music genre, specifically the Beetles.
As for school, Joey says his favorite subject is "Conflicts and Mysteries".
Larry Bird is Joey's number one athlete and his role model is Mr. Ryan Bliss.
In the future, Joey plans to go to Brazil for an exchange student program.
Afterwards, Joey wants to attend college and enroll in officer candidate school for the United States Army.
