Firemen were called to the Scott and Sharon Hocker farm west of La Harpe on Wednesday, January 31st about 7 a.m. It appears the fire started at the engine heater in a Zetor tractor.
Insurance adjusters and a fire marshal are still investigating the fire. The tractor appears to be almost a total loss and considerable damage was done to the machine shed.
Several pieces of farm equipment inside the building are being assessed for damage because of the extreme heat during the fire.
