Meet West Central Senior Heat Athlete

Nicholas Barber

Nick Barber is a senior at West Central High School who is participating in the upcoming Play. "I like working with a lot of cool people that I love to spend time with." is what Nicholas had to say about this year's season.

Nick's advice to underclassmen is to, "Be nice, be a lil bit sassy, but most importantly, keep it classy. (Also, he says, don't join something if you don't want to do any work)."

In his spare time, Nick enjoys eating anything pasta and going to Casa Fiesta.

His favorite movie is Shrek. Nick also likes listening to music, as long as it doesn't involve screaming or country.

When asked about his favorite college, Nick said, "I feel like I'd be crucified if I didn't say Iowa State."

His favorite subject in school is science, "I like to see how the world works and why things happen."

After being asked who he admired as an athlete Nick jokingly said, "Me; when I ate everything on my plate when everyone told me I couldn't do it."

"My parents" Nick said without hesitation, in reference to his role model. "They are the kindest and funniest people I have ever met." Amy and Chris Barber of Stronghurst are the parents of Nicholas Barber.
