La Harpe Council Meets -submitted by Lucretia McPeak, City Clerk

The La Harpe City Council met November 26, 2018, at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. for the regular meeting.

Mayor Katherine Hasten-Reed, Dave Clover and Randy Shumaker were absent.

The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion was made and carried to appoint Alderman Covert as Mayor ProTem.

David Little reported the 2006 GMC needs to be re-aligned, and new tires. He will get prices, and get back to the council.

City Clerk McPeak reminded everyone the Consolidated Election will be April 2, 2019. The Offices up for Election for a 4 year term are: Mayor, Treasurer, City Clerk, 1st Ward Alderman, 2nd Ward Alderman, 3rd Ward Alderman, and a 2 year unexpired term for 3rd Ward Alderman. The Clerk has Nominating Petitions available. She also informed the council of Central Stone Co. bills totaling $226.21.

Treasurer Maggie Link informed the council the Audit agreement will need to be signed. Motions were made and approved to:

The regular meeting of the La Harpe City Council adjourned at 8:25 p.m.

Council present at the meeting were: Jerry Burford, Kelly Harkey, Greg Wisslead, Brian Covert, Treasurer-Maggie Link, and City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak.

Also present: Larry Finch, David Little, Christopher Scholz joined the council at 7:03 p.m.

The next meeting is Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at La Harpe City Hall. All meetings are open to the public.
