Stronghurst Fall Festival

Greeting everyone!

Summer 2018 seems to be coming to a close but you know that means something else begins..Fall!

The Stronghurst Booster Club invites you to our 4th annual Fall Festival on Saturday, September 15th, in the Stronghurst Village Park from 9-2.

You can start the day off visiting the city wide yard sales then come on over to the park around 9 and get ready for some fun.

Boosters will be cooking up some donuts again this year and vendors will be set up and ready to show you lots of amazing things. Fall decorating, Christmas shopping, or maybe just a little something for yourself.

Antique tractors will be on display by the Christian Church. This year we are excited to offer a car show. Awards announced at 2 p.m. for the car show include: Top 20 (participant voting), Booster Club Award, Mayors Choice, Kids Choice, Under 21 and Viewers choice ($1 to vote).

Dash plaques to the first 50 entries. T-shirts will be available and you may pre order a shirt at the village hall, (let me just say the shirts are pretty neat!).

Registration for tractors and the car show begin at 9. You may contact Hugh Forbes at 309-221-3390 if you wish to join the tractor show or if you are interested the car show please contact Jeff Nichols at 309-221-3013 or Brent Kennedy at 309-318-1134.

For your entertainment this year back by popular demand is the Blue Room Band! They will be set up on the south end of the park. If shopping, eating or cars is not your thing then just bring a lawn chair and listen or dance to the great music from 10-2.

Also from 10-2 the Bounce Houses will be ready for some action and there will be barrel train rides for children. Weather permitting the spray park will be open.

From 11-1 in the shelter house the Stronghurst Boosters will serve a pulled pork meal. There will also be taco in a bag, macho nachos and hotdogs.

Oh, I almost forgot..to help with your fall decorating the Boosters will have mums again this year. But, don't be late as we always seem to sell out quickly. We will try to have more of the tri-colored mums as they have always been a favorite. What goes great with mums? Pumpkins! It's one stop shopping I tell you and lots of fun for everyone.

So we hope you can come out and enjoy the day with us.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, September 15. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for updates.
