Take "The Quill" Along

Media-Wever Class of 1963 (with 1962 & 1964) Reunion

The Media-Wever Classes of '62, '63, and '64 met on Saturday, Aug 11, 2018 to celebrate their 56th, 55th, & 54th years since graduating from Media-Wever High School and they took "The Quill" along. Those attending are pictured including from left to right:

David Overstreet (63), Janet Brokaw (64), John Cassidy (64), Andrea (Overstreet) Barber (64), Rodney Myers (64), John Kane (64), Ron Isaacson (63), Phyllis (Shelton) Fogel (63), Hugh Forbes (63), Bonnie (Hulet) Taylor (63), Donna (Bond) Lefler (63), David Barber (62), Gary Armstrong (62), Susan (Powell) Edwards (62), Jim Powell (63), Bob Saben (63), John Knapp (63), and Terry Edwards (60).

As you can see, The Quill traveled all the way to the Forbes farmstead southeast of Media.

All 30 (spouses, too) amassed early afternoon at the Forbes Conference Center southeast of Media. Caravanning, they toured the new BNSF bridge that replaced the historic trestle near Media. Then, they were on to wander through the tiring Media-Wever High School - reliving memories as each viewed all the classrooms, gyms, and lockers. A short drive took the group to Stronghurst to view the "Doc Pogue Memorial Spray Park', share stories of Bob, and remember the wonderful work he did as the town's doctor. The caravan then swung around to Raritan to visit the amazing Henderson County Museum operated by two wonderful hosts - Jim & Doris Cook. All enjoyed the tour and the fascinating information provided. Back to the Conference Center for snacks, conversation and soon, some great BBQ by Eddie B's from Monmouth. The Award for Traveling the Least Distance was given, with a big-round-of-applause, to Sheila and Hugh Forbes! One order of business, it was unanimous to hold a 60th reunion. All seemed to enjoy.
