A prayer vigil was held for the Finch family on Monday, April 16.
The event was organized by Jennifer Ewing with plans to hold the prayer vigil at Jenni's Ice Cream in Lomax, where Maddie was a former employee.
However, due to the cold weather, the event was moved to the La Harpe Christian Church with Nate McCarter leading the prayer.
There were several pastors and volunteer church members leading small groups in prayer.
Following the prayer vigil, 106 balloons were released to represent the 106 days since the loss of Maddie. The community is still mourning the loss of Maddie and many attended to show their continued support to the Finch family.
